New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday came up with an explanatory tweet for a fake exam schedule of class 10th and 12th circulating on social media. The circulating fake is the last year's schedule, which has now resurfaced and is being propagated.
"There are some persons deliberately trying to create confusion about board exams by circulating old news of 1.4.20 regarding X and XII exams. Students should ignore this old circular of last year and not be misled," the CBSE HQ's tweet read. CBSE added that the board exams would be conducted as scheduled from May 4 to June 10.
In the meantime, CBSE notified that students affected with Covid-19 could also appear for the practical exams. In its notification on April 1, CBSE mentioned, "If any candidate is absent in practical because of being Covid-19 positive or any family member – mother, father, brother and sister, etc. – is reported Covid-19 positive, schools will conduct practical of such candidates at an appropriate time in consultation with the concerned regional officer but latest by June 11."
Three months ago, another set of CBSE board exams' schedules had run through social media, which was identified as fake in a PIB fact check.
