Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police registered a case of sexual assault against actors Biju Sopanam and SP Sreekumar following a complaint filed by a serial actress. The actress accused them of assaulting her during a serial shooting, and the complaint specifies that one of them assaulted her while the other threatened her.
The incident related to the complaint that the actress filed with the special investigation team formed after the Hema Committee report was released is believed to have happened recently. The case was registered by the Kochi Info Park Police.
Meanwhile, the High Court clarified that those who did not give their statements before the Hema Committee could also file a complaint with the Special Investigation Team regarding exploitation. Those who did not give their statements before the Hema Committee can file new complaints before the Nodal Officer, AIG G. Poonguzhali, till January 31.
Meanwhile, the government informed the High Court that 50 cases had been registered based on the Hema Committee report. The investigation has been completed, and a final report has been submitted in four cases.
