Kerala will teach UDF, LDF a lesson: BJP’s Javadekar on AI summit disruption

Thiruvananthapuram: Senior BJP leader and the party’s Kerala in-charge Prakash Javadekar on Saturday said the people of Kerala would “teach a lesson” to the UDF and the LDF following the disruption of an AI summit in New Delhi by Congress activists.

In a post on X, Javadekar described the protest as the “low of Congress politics”, alleging that party workers entered the summit venue “shirtless and shameless”. Calling it an act of desperation, he claimed that such “anti-India activities” had eroded whatever faith remained in the Indian National Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi.

“People of Kerala will teach UDF and LDF a lesson. Keralites don’t like such antics,” he wrote.

In a video message, Javadekar said the Congress party’s conduct at the summit reflected its style of politics. He noted that delegates from hundreds of countries had gathered to discuss the future of artificial intelligence and were praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s technological capabilities.

“Against this backdrop, such antics are absolutely unacceptable. It was an AI summit and Rahul Gandhi converted it into an anti-India event,” he alleged.

He further claimed that the LDF could not distance itself from the episode, stating that it had staged a demonstration in Parliament under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership. “People of Kerala will teach UDF and LDF a hard lesson because of such politics,” he added.

On Friday, a group of workers from the Indian Youth Congress staged a brief protest at Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the AI summit in New Delhi, raising slogans against the Prime Minister before being escorted out by security personnel.
