The mother of the newborn told the media that she gave birth to a child with several abnormalities, such as that the baby does not open its eyes and has severe deformity to its genitals. None of the doctors inform her about these issues. The baby was born on November 8 at the Government Medical College Hospital in Alappuzha.

As per the TIE report, the mother has been under the treatment of Dr Pushpa, and she had undergone scanning thrice during her pregnancy in the months of March, April and May at Midas lab.
