Good tidings: five more tested negative for COVID-19

Kochi: Boosting the morale of all, particularly health officials, five more tested negative for COVID-19 on Wednesday .

Those recovered include the British national who tried to sneak out of the nation, and a 76-year-old woman in his traveling group, and a 3-year-old and his parents in Kannur.

The British national was administered the drugs used in HIV treatment and the first test three days later proved negative. As the third test also turned negative, authorities officially announced the news.

Seven of his 19 traveling companions had been tested positive for COVID-19, and five of them are still under treatment.

After SMS hospital in Jaipur, Kerala is the first to use HIV drugs in COVID-19 treatment.
