Kerala well set to hold online classes

Kochi: Kerala Government on Tuesday submitted in the High Court that the state is fully prepared to start online classes. Only 872 students are deprived of online class facilities due to want of required equipment. These students are from remote tribal areas and they  will be distributed the recordings of the classes.

Facilities are in place for 41.2 lakh students to access online classes. The government also said that principals have been instructed to ensure that all students have facilities to attend e-learning sessions. Online classes through Victers Channel were started on June 1 in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. The first phase of broadcast was in trial mode.  Concerns were raised from students without television and smartphones. The second phase of online classes started on June 15.
