Coaching centres influenced PSC panel, Vigilance observes

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau reportedly maintains that PSC coaching centres, in order to raise their success perecentage influenced the question paper section of PSC.

Sleuths arrived at the conclusion after examining the question papers including that of KSA.

Three questions were taken without even changing options from the study guide of a leading coaching centre in the state.

Also, questions were taken from books published by coaching centres for exams including LDC, University Assistant, and Civil Police officer.

This is done throwing to the wind the PSC Examination controller’s direction against copying questions from guidebooks by private institutions.

In order to avoid suspicion, questions were presented in different serial numbers.

Officials including PSC chairman always claim that nobody including members of the Commission is not aware of the panel that prepare the questions.

However, the Vigilance got the information that those who work at PSC headquarters for years know about the panel.

Alongside Secretariat employees, PSC employees teach in these centres. They hand over to coaching centres information regarding the panel.

Contacting the panel members, coaching centres make available their books at the panel members’ homes. PSC employees work at these institutions under fake names.
