24 new corona cases in Kerala, total 265

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said that there are 24 new coronavirus positive cases in the state, taking the total number to 265.

"Today there are 164,130 under observation, which include 622 at various hospitals in the state. Kasargode recorded 12 cases today," said Vijayan.

Other than Kasargode, three cases were reported in Ernakulam, two each in Thriruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kannur and one in Palakkad district.

The total number of positive cases in the state has rose to 265. Of these, 237 are undergoing treatment. Two people were discharged from hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

Of the 24 cases reported on Wednesday, nine people have travel history to gulf countries.
