Palarivattom flyover case: Sooraj firm on statement against Ebrahim Kunju

Muvattupuzha: It is learnt that the fourth accused and former secretary of Public Works Department, TO Sooraj, has given crucial statement against former minister VK ebrahim Kunju in Palarivattom flyover scam case. The statement was given by Sooraj as the Vigilance team, which probes the case, interrogated him at Muvattupuzha sub-jail, where he is serving a remand custody.

The interrogation was done to have clarifications in the statement given by Sooraj against ebrahim Kunju. Sooraj reiterated that everything was done at the behest of the former minister. He also repeated the statements given in the testimony filed at the court.  He has repeated the statements against former officers of Roads and Bridges Corporation.

The interrogation was made by a team led by Vigilance DySP R. Ashok Kumar. The questioning started at 10.30 am ended by 1.00 pm

Sooraj had repeated his statements against  Ebrahim Kunju while the accused was brought to the court last day.  It is learnt that the investigation team may step into further crucial steps including serving notices to Ebrahim Kunju and others as the interrogation has been completed. Notice will be served on Friday or Saturday.

Vigilance has noticed various loopeholes in the statement given by Ebrahim Kunju.
