CPM wants to fine tune Jaleel

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM may initiate measures to correct Minister KT Jaleel's course, soon after bypoll results.  CPM has started political moves to restrain the minister before the legislative assembly session to calm down the ongoing controversies surrounding his interventions in varsity examinations.

In connection with this,  Jaleel had urgent meetings with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday.

The minister explained the issues and his stances that caused the controversies. CPM does not want more controversies as the assembly session is nearing.

CPM is of the view that the minister has not erred on his part in the marks award controversy.  However, constituent parties of LDF, including CPI, are not happy with the minister.

CPI thinks that unwarranted interventions of some at the minister’s office in the university affairs were the cause of the issues.

CPI is of the opinion that the minister's stance has flared up the controversy. CPI will convey its assessment to CPM at the next bilateral meeting.
