Unable to predict loss of votes in Kerala, says CPM Polit buro

New Delhi: The CPM polit bureau may well evaluate the reasons behind its poll debacle in Kerala and the rest of the India.

The party has lost even some of its pocket boroughs in Kerala, making its top brass to ruminate over reasons.

Emaciated to the point of losing its political life, the party might listen to voices from within demanding introspection.

It is at this context Polit bureau says that the party couldn’t predict the drain of votes in Kerala.

Sounding more like owning up the reasons for failure, the top brass of the party responded thus to the preliminary report from Kerala.

The preliminary report of Kerala secretariat points at Sabarimla issue and how devotees were misled against the party, and how minority consolidation further shrunk its vote base.

The state committee will discuss the reasons, and its conclusions will be submitted to the Centre Committee, which will meet in June.
