HC denies bail to the accused in human trafficking

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday refused to grant bail to two accused in alleged human trafficking case.

The accused allegedly tried to ferry people of Tamil Orgin and Sri Lankan nationals from Munambam to Australian territory.

 Human trafficking is a serious offence, said Justice B Sudheendra Kumar.

Court considered the bail applications filed by the accused Anil Kumar, allegedly the owner of the boat used in trafficking, and Ravi Sanoop Raja, who allegedly facilitated the reported trafficking.
