HC asks: how about uniform varsity exam calendar?

Kochi: In what could be called a revolutionary step in higher education, Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the Higher Education Principal Secretary to convene a meeting of universities to frame norms for a uniform calendar, consulting with the Chancellor, for exams and publication of results.

Giving three months’ time for final decision, the court observed that the uniform calendar would offer a mechanism to all Universities to adhere to it.

HC issued the order on a petition filed by law students emphasizing delays in declaring exams results.

The court also observed that it is high time the Universities evolved a uniform calendar.
