A gang allegedly led by Shyanu Chacko kidnapped Kevin, a Dalit Christian, along with his relative Aneesh in the early hours of May 27, 2018.

The incident took place days after Kevin filed papers to marry Shyanu Chacko’s sister Neenu Chacho. Later, Kevin’s body was found in a canal near Thenmala on May 28.

The fourteen others accused in the case include Neenu’s father and brother Shyanu Chacko.
