MI Thangal passes away

Kozhikode: Muslim League state vice-president and prominent writer and journalist, MI Thangal breathed his last at a private hospital here. He was undergoing treatment for heart related ailments.

MI Thangal, an ideologue of Muslim League politics, has authored several books in history.

Formerly he served as editor of Chandrika daily. He also hold various positions in Muslim League. He was a full-time member of Control Board of Kerala Grandhashal Movement.

He was born to M. Kunjikoya Thangal and Sharifa Beevi at Karakunnu near Manjeri. He started his stint in journalism as a sub-editor in Chandrika daily and later worked various publications.

Aathmeeyathayude Agninaalangal, Muslim Rashtriyam Indiayil, Indiayile Muslim Rashtreeyathinte Kadha are few of books he wrote.
