Kochi: Rejecting the review petition against its order of the demolition of the flats, the Supreme Court confirmed that high-rise apartments at Maradu in Ernakulam district be pulled down.
A bench headed by justice Arun Mishra rejected the builders’s plea for reviewing the order to demolish the flats raised violating Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules.
The sky-scrapers that face axe include Holiday Heritage, Holy Faith, Jain Housing as they were found to be violating the afore mentioned rules.
The Supreme Court allowed a month to demolish the buildings and the builders themselves have to pull down them.
