Sabarimala: Supreme Court to consider writ petition on February 8

New Delhi: The Supreme Court will consider on February 8 the writ petitions on Sabarimala, submitted during the time of review petitions.

SC had earlier made it clear writ petitions would be considered only after the review petitions.

On January 15, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi stated that Indu Malhotra the lone woman judge of the panel as well as the only dissenting voice, was on medical leave, and the case the was posted to January 22.

Following the SC verdict on September 28 allowing woman of all age group to the temple, the hill shrine witnessed violent events.
