Thiruvananthapuram: Police have taken into custody on Sunday morning the key accused in the Nedumbangad police station attack case.
RSS district committee member Praveen, who had allegedly hurled a bomb at the station weeks ago during BJP sponsored shutdown over Sabarimala issue, was nabbed from Thampanoor.
Praveen had been evading police since the incident and a special team of cops was formed to look out for him.
Acting on a tip off about his itinerary that included his return to the capital city, a team of sleuths arrested him here.
The bombing of the station occurred during a clash between CPM and BJP workers and CCTV visuals showed Praveen as hurling the bomb, becoming the key evidence in the case.
