Kerala to go to polls tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram: The month-long high octane campaigning for the 20 th LS polls in Kerala ended on Sunday evening.

All three major alliances—UDF, LDF and NDA—pumped their whole energy into the last minute campaigning sending vibrations across the state, causing widespread anticipation and conjectures about results.

Poll surveys predicted varying numbers for alliance, triggering debates on social media and teashops, thus making everybody a psephologist, thanks to Kerala being highly politically sensitive.

Unlike ever before, both analysts and laymen are pretty much confused about outcome this time.

However, all three major players seemingly are in good spirits to take on each other, and are making tall claims.

UDF feels it is better off this time, thanks to Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s entry in Wayanad placing long odds before LDF. UDF is hopeful of sweeping the state, which LDF camps dubs as a pipe dream.

Because, LDF hopes that it can capitalize on the new-found popularity of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, especially his mettle in handling the flood crisis.

While UDF is questioning the claims of the government on various front, NDA is riding on the emotional wave from Sabarimala issue, which they hope to encash into votes.
