Modi to address election rally in Kozhikode on Friday

Kozhikode:  Prime minister Narendra will address an election rally in Kozhikode on Friday.  The BJP-led NDA's rank and file expect a boost to their campaign with the presence of Modi.

The prime minister is scheduled to land at Karipur airport in a special flight at 5.30 pm and attend the meeting at 6 pm.  In a separate trip,  Modi will also address an election rally in Thiruvananthapuram on April 17.

The NDA candidates from Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Kannur, Kasargod and Palakkad districts and national and state leaders of the front will participate in the rally.     

The constituency of Kozhikode borders Wayanad,  which attracts national attention due to Rahul Gandhi contesting from there,  in addition to Amethi in UP.

NDA workers from all over the state will converge at the rally in an all-out attempt to make it a show of strength of the alliance. In total Modi is expected to spend over one hour in Kozhikode.

Tight security has been arranged for the entire distance of Modi's travel schedule,  with restrictions being imposed on traffic in Kozhikode city and outskirts on Thursday as well as on Friday.
