Advisors rule, CM doesn't deserve to continue in the seat - Chennithala

Kottayam: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala came down heavily against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a press conference held here in connection with the murder of Kevin P. Joseph.

"The Chief Minister is unqualified to continue in the seat. Kerala police have descended to its worst level. Advisors are appointing officers, making the DGP a mute spectator.  Raman Srivastava rules the police.  Unqualified, slavish officers are being made SPs.  The advisor is engaging in unconstitutional interventions," Ramesh Chennithal said.

"The structural change brought in the police has proven to be a setback. Since responsibility of station is handed over to Circle Inspectors, functioning of police stations is hampered.  Role of the police in Kevin's murder should be investigated," he added.
