LDF govt allots 70 cents of land for UAE consulate

Thiruvananthapuram: The State government Wednesday decided to assign 70 cents of land on 90 years lease to the UAE Consulate for the construction of a permanent building for its office functioning here.

A decision in this regard was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here.

The land would be given at Perrorkada in the city, an official release said. The decision comes a day after Kerala promised land for UAE during the chief ministers meeting with visiting Sharjah ruler and UAE supreme council member Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammed Al Qasimi here.
