Kochi: Three women have been arrested for allegedly manhandling the driver of a cab aggregator in the city, police said Thursday.
Police said the driver alleged that the women, who had booked the ride-share service offered by the cab aggregator, attacked him at a busy junction near Vytilla Wednesday.
He was allegedly attacked following an exchange of words after he refused to yield to their demand that another passenger already travelling in the car be asked to exit, police said.
The driver, who sustained injuries on his head, has been admitted to the government general hospital here.
The women were arrested after taking the statement of the cab driver.
They were later released on station bail, police said.
Meanwhile, two of the women today alleged that they were being falsely implicated in the case.
They also alleged that the driver had used abusive language against them.
