Pinarayi Vijayan and Kunjalikutty met secretly, BJP leader reiterates allegation

Palakkad: BJP state General Secretary A N Radhakrishnan has come up with his allegation again that the UDF candidate for Malappuram bypoll P K Kunjalikutty and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan met secretly at a businessman’s house in Valanchery, Malappuram district.

Talking to the media here on Thursday, Radhakrishnan said he was ready to produce evidences to back his claim if the two leaders reject the allegation.

The BJP leader had earlier accused Kunjalikutty and the CM of holding a secret meeting for almost an hour.

The allegation bears significance as the CPI-M-led LDF and the Congress-led UDF are set to fight for the Malappuram Lok Sabha seat in the bypoll on April 12.

DYFI leader M B Faizal is the LDF candidate while the BJP has fielded N Sreeprakash in the constituency.

The bypoll was necessitated following the death of IUML leader and former union minister E Ahmed.

Seventy eight-year-old Ahmed, who passed away on February 1 following cardiac arrest, had won the seat with a margin of over 1.90 lakh votes against his nearest rival in the 2014 polls.
