No load-shedding this time: Assures Minister M M Mani

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Power M.M. Mani on Wednesday said that the government had all the arrangements to see that no power tripping is resorted to in the State, notwithstanding the soaring mercury causing a grim power scenario.

The minister informed the Assembly that the government, would, in needed, purchase electricity from outside.

There speculation of load-shedding as the minister had earlier said that the power situation was so grim that the State could produce only 30 per cent of the power required for domestic usage.
