Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Friday said all cabinet decisions cannot be disclosed under the Right to Information Act.
Referring to the RTI queries regarding the Cabinet decisions, the Chief Minister said some decisions can be disclosed only after implementation.
“Many a decision will likely hit roadblocks if details regarding it are publicised at the initial stage,” he said.
“Those who are requesting details under the RTI and those who are disseminating that information should be able to differentiate between information which can be disclosed and cannot be disclosed,” the CM said.
Pinarayi, however, said the officials should not refrain from providing information merely on the grounds that the information will be misused.
