No action against BJP leaders over controversial remarks

Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP state council has decided not to take any action against BJP general secretary A.N Radhakrishnan and former state president C.K Padmanabhan over their controversial remarks.

Addressing at the meet, BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan said the controversy over their remarks was a closed chapter.

The meeting had assumed significance amid rumours of discord mounting among the state leaders over the statements issued by certain leaders dragging the party into controversies.

Continuing its tirade against director Kamal, BJP state general secretary A N Radhakrishnan had said: “people like him should leave the country if they are not interested in living here."

However, former BJP state chief C K Padmanabhan had objected to Radhakrishnan’s remarks and stated that no one has the right to ask another person to leave the country.
