CPI-M leader Zakir Hussain should surrender before law: Kodiyeri

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI-M state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Tuesday said former CPI(M) Kalamassery area committee secretary V.A. Zakir Hussain, who has been booked after a man was allegedly threatened over a business deal, should surrender before the law.

“Zakir Hussain should surrender before the law,” said Kodiyeri.

On Monday, the Kerala High Court had declined the anticipatory bail plea of Zakir Hussain in a criminal case registered against him on charges of kidnapping, physical assault, and criminal intimidation.

The court asked the CPI(M) leader to surrender before the investigation officer within seven days.
