Vinson M Paul takes charge as chief information commissioner of Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Former Vigilance director Vinson M Paul, IPS, took oath as the new chief information commissioner of Kerala on Friday.

The oath was administered by Governor P.Sathasivam.

Vinson Paul is a 1984 batch IPS officer. He had a 31-year long career in state police and headed various teams that probed some sensational cases.

Vinson, towards the end of his eventful stint as vigilance director, had gone on long leave following some spiteful observations by the court against him in the bar bribery case.

He had maintained that there was no evidence against the then finance minister K.M. Mani in the bribery case.
