Kodungallur: BJP has called for a dawn-to-dusk shut down in Thrissur district on Saturday to protest the death of one of its workers following a clash with the CPI-M activists amid the poll victory rallies on Thursday.
A native of Edavilangu near here, 33-year old Pramod succumbed to his injuries at Ashwini Hospital here on Friday.
The hartal is from 6 am to 6 pm.
An active worker of the BJP, Pramod reached Kerala a week ago from Gulf, where he is employed, to cast his vote.
BJP district president A Nagesh alleged that his party workers were attacked by the CPI-M at several parts of the district.
