Jisha murder accused brought to Perumbavoor for evidence collection

Perumbavoor: The police investigation team probing the Jisha murder case on Tuesday took the accused  Ameer Ul Islam to Perumbavoor for evidence collection. 

He was brought to Perumbavoor at around 6.25 a.m and taken to Jisha’s house and on the premises and the route by which which he escaped.

Meanwhile, Jisha’s mother and sister reportedly failed to identify Ameerul Islam in an identification parade held Tuesday at the Aluva Police Club. 

The court had remanded the prime accused in the sensational rape and murder case of a Dalit woman at nearby Perumbavoor to ten days police custody till 4.30 p.m on June 30.

The accused was arrested on the charge of killing the law student, 50 days after the gruesome incident that had become a major issue in the recent Kerala Assembly elections.

The 30-year-woman, who hailed from a poor family, was raped and brutally assaulted using sharp-edged weapons before being murdered at her house on April 28.
