No talks held for political alliance: Tushar Vellapally

Alappuzha: BDJS president Tushar Vellapally Thursday said his party had not held talks with any party for a political alliance ahead of the Assembly election.

“Apart from talks held with the BJP on certain issues, no discussions were held with anyone else. No assurance has been given to anyone to be part of them,” Tushar told reporters.

“After I assumed as the president of the party, no such talks were held with any politcal party,” he said.

“We will contest in at least 5 percent of seats in the coming Assembly election,” said Tushar.

On Wednesday, SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan had said he had held secret talks with both the LDF and the UDF ahead of the Assembly election.
