Anti-minority rant: Pillai to move HC for anticipatory bail

Kottarakkara:  Kerala Congress-B leader R. Balakrishna Pillai, who is booked for his anti-minority rant, has decided to move the Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail.

On Friday, the state police had registered a case against Pillai for his alleged derogatory remarks against minorities.

Pillai had reportedly insulted Muslims and Christians at a function conducted by Nair Service Society (NSS) in Pathanapuram on Sunday.

Pillai, however, apologized for his alleged hate speech later and reportedly said that he does not have anything against minorities and supports them.

Meanwhile, Pillai's son, former minister and Kerala Congress (B) MLA KB Ganesh Kumar, has also apologised for his father's alleged mistake.
