Hindus, Christians should unite against IS: Togadia

Kozhikode: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Praveen Togadia on Tuesday called for association of Hindus, Christians, Buddhists and Jews against terror outfit Islamic State.

“IS people trap girls from other religions in the pretext of love and marry them to convert them Islam. Their aim is to add number to the mission of Islamic terrorism. All the communities should come together against this,” Togadia said at a press conference here.

They use love as a tool to mass-murder people. There is nothing called ‘good Muslim’ or ‘bad Muslim.’ What IS does is just follow the Qur’an, the Hindutwa leader said adding he had read such verses in the Qur’an.

Togadia said the terror outfit was a threat to everyone. “There should be extensive awareness campaigns to save our youth from it.”

The VHP leader also said uniform civil code was mandatory to keep India a secular country.

Asked about the attacks against Dalits in Gujarat and UP, Togadia said such things should not have happened. “There were the acts of some people. No particular section should be blamed for that.”
