Two Keralites killed; at least ten missing in Mecca stampede

Riyadh: Two people from Kerala were killed and at least ten people went missing following Thursday’s stampede in Mina, killing scores of people and injuring others.

The victims have been identified as Abdurahman (52), hailing from Chelambra in Malappuram and Moydeen Abdul Qadar, a native of Kannamburam in Palakkad.

Working with a furniture firm in Riyadh, Abdurahman was settled there for 25 years.

According to reports, at least ten Keralites reportedly went missing following Thursday’s stampede in Mina, killing scores of people and injuring others.

Source said they were hailing from Kozhikode, Kollam, Kottayam and Malappuram districts.

Meanwhile, a natural death of a pilgrim from Kerala was reported from Mina. Muhammed, a native of Kodungallur in Thrissur, died in a hospital due to heart failure.
