TP conspiracy case dismissed

Kozhikode: The Additional District Sessions Court in Kozhikode Friday dismissed the case relating to a group of persons hatching a conspiracy to eliminate RMP leader T P Chandrasekharan in 2009.

Judge P.J Vincent dismissed the case for lack of evidence and witnesses.

The case was registered against 14 persons, including those convicted in the TP murder case. The first accused C H Ashokan, a CPI(M) leader, had died during the trial.

The case was that a section of CPI (M) leaders in Kozhikode and Kannur districts had hatched a conspiracy to kill Chandrasekharan in August 2009 and employed a gang to kill him between September and November, 2009.

This came to light when investigators questioned Annan Shijith, one of the members of the killer-gang involved in the murder case.
