UDF releases manifesto for local body polls

Kochi: The UDF released its manifesto Tuesday for the local body polls.

The manifesto promised setting up of a fund at all the local bodies for the treatment of poor and guarantees single meal a day under a hunger-free project.

A 'Mangalya Nidhi’ for marriage of girls in BPL families, scholarship for students belonging to deprived families, free Wi-Fi at local body headquarters, redressal of grieveance centre at all places, samitis promoting organic farming, special package for other-state workers, and an NRI fest every year figure in Kerala’s development list.

State president of Muslim League Panakad Hyderali Shihab Thangal, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, ministers K M Mani, P K Kunhalikutty, Ramesh Chennithala, UDF leaders A A Azeez, Johnny Nelloor, C P John, A N Babu also spoke on the occasion.
