Verdict in bar bribery case on October 29

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance court hearing the bar bribery case will pronounce its verdict in the case on October 29.

The hearing in the case ended on Monday.

As many as 10 petitions have been filed before the court seeking further probe into the case.

The court on Monday heard a petition filed by Biju Ramesh, the prime witness in the case, challenging the final report submitted by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau which probed the case.

Biju, in his petition, requested that Kerala Finance Minister K.M. Mani be prosecuted in the case by considering the fact-finding report prepared by probe officer S. Sukeshan as the final report.

The case is that K.M. Mani allegedly accepted Rs. 1 crore from bar owners to renew the bar licences.
