Prima facie evidence against K.M Mani in bar bribery case: court

Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance court Thursday ruled that there was prima facie evidence against Finance Minister K.M Mani in the bar bribery case.

Declining to accept the final investigation report by Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau, special Judge John K Illekadan ruled that there was prime facie evidence that Mani had received bribes from the bar owners on March 22 and April 2.

“The investigation officer filed his final report under the pressure,” the Judge said.

Observing that the final report was not acceptable, the court ordered a further probe into the bribery case.
