High Command will decide the Assembly leader, says Chandy

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday said it was up to the High Command to decide who should lead the party in the Assembly elections due next year.

On the internecine bickering in the UDF, especially in Malappuram, the Chief Minister said the Muslim League would not leave the UDF, no matter what.

“It is not possible to satisfy the allies completely. There will be several issues at the local level,” he added.

Senior Congress leader A K Antony also had on Tuesday rubbished reports of a leadership tussle in the state Congress, while insisting that there is no confusion or rift in the state unit.
