Vellapally’s Yathra will become Jal Samadhi at Shankumugham beach: VS

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader V.S Achuthanandan Monday ridiculed SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan’s Samathwa Munneta Yatra (march for equality), saying that it would turn out to be a Jal Samadhi (water burial) Yathra at the Shankumugham beach.

“When Vellapally reach at Attingal, he will be seen wearing khaki shorts and white shirt,” said Achuthanandan.

“Vellapally should give back the corruption money to the government when his journey reach at Thiruvananthapuram,” the CPI(M) stalwart said.

SNDP general secretary Vellapally Natesan Monday morning launched the Samathwa Munneta Yatra in Kasargod. It will criss-cross the state and reach the capital on December 5.

Vellapally Sunday had said an announcement regarding the formation of a new political party representing the Hindus in Kerala would be made on December 5.

"The announcement will be made on the day our yatra end in the state capital on December 5. Other technicalities like registration etc. will take a month. Since the new party will be formed by the coming together of numerous social organisations, their assets will have to be collated for registration purpose," said Natesan.
