KC(M) makes veiled attack on govt over case against Biju Ramesh

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress (M) on Sunday launched a veiled attack against the UDF government citing its ‘heedlessness’ in a case involving hotelier Biju Ramesh, who had raised bribery allegations against K M Mani.

The Mani-faction accused the Revenue Department of sabotaging a case related to demolishing an illegally constructed building owned by Ramesh.

KC(M) leader Joseph M. Puthussery has submitted a letter to the Chief Minister seeking immediate action on the matter.

The letter that asks the government to file an appeal against the stay granted by the High Court against the demolition order, says that the Revenue Department has been sitting on the file related to the case.

Eelier, the Thiruvananthapuram district administration had decided to demolish Ramesh’s Rajadhani Building at East Fort, which has been found to encroach upon the Thekkanamkara canal.

However, Ramesh moved the High Court against the administration and obtained a stay on the order.
