Thiruvananthapuram: Bar owner Biju Ramesh has alleged attempts from certain quarters to sabotage the case against Excise Minister K Babu.
“Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has directed to complete the bar bribe case in seven days. The money Minister Babu got from bar owners was distributed to different people. The Chief Minister is worried that Babu would reveal the name of those who got the money. That is why the Chief Minister is protecting him,” Biju told the media here on Thursday.
“Babu had got Rs 3 crore from bar owners in 2012 too. It was me who went to the Secretariat and gave him Rs 50 lakh,” Biju added.
He also alleged that the officials investigating the bar bribe case refused to register his detailed statement in the case.
