Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance Special court here has asked four office-bearers of the Kerala Bar Hotels’ Association (KBHA) to decide on undergoing lie-detector test over the bar bribery case in a week.
Vigilance Special Judge John K Illikadan on Saturday rejected a plea by bar owners Rajkumar Unni, M D Dhanesh, P M Krishna Das, and John Kallat seeking more time to take a decision on undergoing lie-detector test as part of the inquiry into the case against Finance Minister K.M. Mani. The four are listed as witnesses in the case.
The court rejected the plea taking note of the Vigilance counsel’s opposition, who said that the investigation into the case has to be completed in two months.
The court will consider the case again on May 25.
Meanwhile, Ambili, who is the driver of bar hotelier Biju Ramesh and another witness in the case, will be subjected to lie-detector test on Monday.
