Govt has full faith in DGP: Chandy

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Saturday rejected Chief Whip P.C George’s allegations, saying the government has full faith in DGP Balasubrahmaniam.

“The government has full faith in the State DGP.  There is no evidence in the audio CD to connect the state DGP in the matter,” Chandy told reporters.

“There will not be any action against the DGP on the basis of an audio recording,” he said.

On Friday, P. C George had submitted an audio CD to substantiate his charges, besides releasing a copy of his letter to the Home Minister.

In his letters to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala, George said that on the basis of an audio recording, he was convinced about the attempts of Balasubramanian to intervene in the case on behalf of the accused.

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala Friday rejected the evidence produced by Government chief whip P C George to substantiate his charge that state DGP had tried to sabotage the Chandrabose death case.
