Shibu Baby John seeks action against K.C Abu

Thiruvananthapuram: Labour Minister Shibu Baby John Saturday urged Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to initiate action against DCC president K.C Abu over his yesterday’s controversial remarks.

“Abu’s remarks have pained me so much. I will serve a legal notice on him over the matter,” he said.

Abu had yesterday courted a controversy when he made an 'unsavoury' remark against LDF legislator E S Bijimol in connection with recent violent incidents in Assembly.

After the remark created a controversy, KPCC President V M Sudheeran told reporters that disciplinary action would be initiated against Abu if he did not tender an unconditional apology by withdrawing the statement against Bijimol.

With the KPCC president taking a firm stand, he tendered an apology for his controversial remarks.
