Thiruvananthapuram: House-surgeons in the medical colleges in the state launched a 24-hour strike on Saturday demanding a hike in their stipend.
Services in the government hospitals were affected following the strike.
The protestors allege that their stipend has not been raised for the last three years. They have also threatened to go on indefinite strike from June 25 if their demands are not met.
