CISF against special force for airport security

Kozhikode: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has opposed a move by the Aviation Ministry to constitute a separate force exclusively for the security affairs of the airports across the county.

Expressing its disagreement, the CISF has said that the constipation of a new force would not succeed in controlling the civilians as special trainings are needed for that.

Only the CISF can maintain a youthful force. Setting up of a new force in the place of the CISF will eventually strengthen the protests and trade union activities in the airports, it said.

Huge amount of found is required to train the new force. Only the CISF can handle an emergency situation as its centralized command system is capable of that.

It also warned that the new force would face the same fate of Railway force.

The CISF has been opposing the Aviation Ministry’s move to constitute an Aviation Security Force under it for the security purpose of the airports.
