Not afraid of any allegation or probe, says K.M Mani

Thrissur: Finance Minister K.M Mani Saturday said he was not afraid of any allegation or investigation.

“Anyone can raise allegations. I’m not scared of any probe in the bar bribery charges. Let the court decide on it,” he said while speaking at the Kerala Congress(M) district committee meeting in Thrissur on Saturday.

On Friday, Vigilance ADGP Sheikh Darvesh Sahib had rejected the investigating team's report citing lack of evidence against him in the bar bribery case.

The ADGP took the decision to reject the probe report based on the legal advice given by Vigilance legal advisor C C Augustin.

In October last year bar owner Biju Ramesh went live on a TV channel and claimed that Mani was given Rs. one crore as bribe to ensure that the closed bars will be opened.
