Thrissur: The famous Sree Krishna Temple at Guruvayur received a bomb threat Tuesday morning following which the police launched a search operation inside the temple compound.
The Circle Inspector, Guruvayur Temple station, received the threat call from Qatar at around 3.50 am.
The police said the caller warned that the temple would be destroyed in a bomb explosion within 24 hours.
The police, led by IG Suresh Raj Purohit, have launched a search operation at the temple with the help of the bomb squad.
